Brenton Rohrlach talks to Rags

Brenton Rohrlach has been trucking for 15 years. The first jigger he drove was a Kenworth K124 for Bulls Transport from the City of Churches in Adelaide, doing the big trek up the centre of Oz pulling road trains.

Brenton said it was a tough three years, with no air con, in a truck that was flat out doing 80kmh.

These days, he trucks in a Kenworth T604 with a Cummins unit that squirts out 565hp and he swings the left arm to an 18-speed Road Ranger. The Kenny pulls a 26m B-double taut liner. The A-trailer is Freighter and the B-trailer is a Krueger.

Brenton stubbies to Gasparini Transport, hailing from Mount Gambier.

He has been an owner-driver for 12 months, with runs taking him across Australia, carting produce and timber.
