Traffic backs up on bridge after two vehicle crash

UPDATE 8.25AM: TRAFFIC is backed up on Glenella Connection Road as emergency crews clear the scene of a crash. 

A tow truck is on scene preparing to remove a crashed vehicle. Police are the only other agency that remains on scene. 

INITIAL: EMERGENCY services are responding to a road traffic crash in West Mackay.

Police and Fire and Emergency Services are on scene on Glenella Connection Rd at the Edmund Casey Bridge.

A Fire and Emergency Services spokesperson said two crews attended the two vehicle road traffic crash that occurred around 7.35am.

One crew left the scene and one remains present.

The spokesperson said there were no entrapments. 

Traffic is reportedly backing up due to the accident.
