Brazilian feet treat gets 'em in

THERE was plenty of dancing on day three of Woodford Folk Festival.

The Brazilian samba dance workshop, with the vivacious beauties from Sambaliscious, was just one of many fun classes on offer at the festival.

Sambaliscious director Mishel Finlayson, who has lived and trained in Rio de Janeiro, said samba was her passion.

"This group of girls, all Australian, had no background in dance when I started with them and now they're teaching others," she said.

"The actual name is samba no pe, which means samba of feet."

The Sambaliscious girls were not the only ones dancing.

Curious crowd members moved in time to the beat and a generous crowd filled the Alter Native area of The Dreaming Festival.

Sunny skies and warm conditions meant the festival was a popular attraction and young and old enjoyed everything on offer from roving entertainers, yummy food and loads of entertainment.

The children's festival was again a popular venue for families to relax, with children entertained in the Stardust Theatre by The Great Big Story Book, various workshops and Toot the Magical Clown.

There's plenty to come with Xavier Rudd on stage in the amphitheatre tonight, all the fun of New Year's Eve and the farewell ceremony, formerly known as the fire event, on Sunday.
