THE Block Glasshouse contestants Simon and Shannon will bring their tool belts to Gympie and Tin Can Bay this Saturday.

The boys will be part of a "Block Party" at Sunshine Mitre 10, starting at 8am and featuring live weather crosses to Nine's Today Weekend show.

Simon and Shannon will compete in a cubbyhouse building challenge against Gympie tradies.

The completed cubbies will be donated to charity.

Also on offer are kids' planting clinics, a sausage sizzle, balloon sculpting, a roving magician, giveaways and more.

It has been an intense competition this season on The Block, with its fair share of controversy.

Simon and Shannon have promised to share what life is like on set when the cameras are off, revealing untold stories of the Glasshouse.

A spokesman for Sunshine Mitre 10 said this was a chance for Gympie region's locals to meet the prank-loving pair. To support this event many of Mitre 10's major suppliers have partnered with the show and will be in attendance to offer their own specialist advice.

"Our customers are always coming in-store looking for helpful advice and first-hand renovation knowledge," the spokesman said.

"There are many wannabe Blockheads out there and this is their chance to meet The Block stars in person, ask for some tips and get inspired about DIY."

After their Gympie appearance Simon and Shannon will travel to Tin Can Bay.

At Cooloola Mitre 10, on Skullett Drive, the pair will show off their DIY skills and meet the locals from 12.30-3.30pm.
