Big pink win for businesswoman

PENNY Hodges couldn't believe her luck when she won the Zonta Pink Dinner raffle - she only bought one ticket.

She plans on using her brand-new lawn mower to help keep the grass trimmed at her accommodation business, Vineyard Cottages.

The pink ride-on mower, valued at $5999, was donated by World Lawn Mower and Cattarin's for the raffle, which helps raise funds for the McGrath Foundation, Australian Breast Cancer Research and the Leukaemia Foundation.

Owner of Cattarin's Mechanical Repairs John Cattarin thanked everyone involved in the raffle.

"We just wanted to say a big thank you to everyone that bought tickets and also to all the business houses and Zonta for helping to sell the tickets," he said.
