Big names added to blockbuster Caloundra Music Festival

IT ALREADY boasts Aussie rock royalty, now Caloundra Music Festival has added to its blockbuster line-up.

CMF favourite Daryl Braithwaite, The Screaming Jets, party starters Sneaky Sound System and Grammy-award winners Arrested Development are all coming to the Coast.

The festival, set for September 28-October 1 is expected to be a sell-out event.

The new acts join headliners John Butler Trio, The Waifs, Birds of Tokyo, The Living End, The Temper Trap and Thirsty Merc.

Festival director Richie Eyles said the latest additions to the already outstanding line up ensured the festival would appeal to a broad range of music lovers.

He said to keep an eye on funky bands Dumpstaphunk and Paperboy.

"We have some exceptional artists and music acts lined up for CMF 2018,” Mr Eyles said.

"We have a hard earned reputation for presenting quality national and international acts and this year's line-up certainly won't disappoint.”

Tickets for CMF 2018 are now on sale.

CMF's latest acts announced include:

  • Two-time Grammy award winners Arrested Development (USA)
  • Horrorshow - the latest flavour added to the Sunday night hip hop line-up
  • Debuting at #1 on the ARIA charts, Sheppard
  • Coming off the back of a sold out tour, Eskimo Joe
  • Making their festival debut to fill the dance floor Sneaky Sound System.
  • The Screaming Jets returning for the first time in five years to rock the roof off
  • Phil Jamieson back with a special Grinspoon acoustic set
  • Daryl Braithwaite - riding back in to town
  • Dumpstaphunk
  • Eli 'Paperboy' Reed.
  • Emily Wurramura
  • Caiti Baker
  • The Soul Movers (Murray from the Wiggles new band) also join this year's festival.
