Big fun for little kids at Gympie Civic Centre
LITTLE kids get their own big day of fun at the Gympie Civic Centre this Saturday.
Three professional performances head the program for the free Little Kids Day Out which promises free fun for all families with young children including entertainment, art, animals, plants, singing, dancing and lots more.
All Aboard Gympie Region Campaign member Kim Walters said organisers were thrilled the three shows could be seen in Gympie at no cost thanks to the generosity of the Gympie Regional Council Regional Arts Development Fund grant.
Hurry Up and Wait, originally co-produced with Queensland Theatre Company, will be lots of fun for kids aged 3-10.
The performance features a couple of clowns have rushed to town to see the grand circus parade.
They sit, they wait, they get bored, they get hungry…until their imaginations take over and waiting becomes a game.
Hurry Up and Wait is a unique blend of Buster Keaton and Samuel Beckett loaded with exquisite physical comedy.
The clown duo of Liz Skitch and Clint Bolster take the audience to emotional highs and lows as their interminable wait unfolds.

The Crackup Sisters tour the nation spreading laughter like a national disaster.
Their unique brand of Australian country comedy is highlighted with real far-fetched stories and loads of whip cracking, slapstick acrobatics and crowd interaction.

They'll be telling their stories, cracking their whips and even a few flips.
Come have a laugh before the Crackup Sister's trainer Alyssa and the Kingaroy mob teach everyone how to move around, tumble and have a go of cracking a whip.
Street Science is a high energy and explosive stage show, which mixes humour, exciting demonstrations and quality scientific explanations into an interactive performance.
A few lucky members of the audience will be plucked from the crowd to assist the scientist with some amazing demonstrations and experiments.
