Beware - upgrade Victoria Creek

Motorists are advised of changed traffic conditions around the Princes Highway upgrade at Victoria Creek, Central Tilba from Monday.

Earthwork for a new bridge being built as part of the upgrade needs a heavy vehicle access point across the Princes Highway.

This heavy vehicle crossing will be just north of the existing Victoria Creek Bridge.

It will be used to cart material required to complete the work from one side of the site to the other.

Traffic using the Princes Highway may be stopped briefly every 10 to 15 minutes.

The crossing point will be needed for up to four months, weather permitting.

Traffic controllers will guide motorists through the worksite.

Motorists are advised to drive with caution and obey the direction of traffic controllers.

When completed, the upgrade will remove a number of tight bends between Narooma Road and the Tilba Tilba deviation, providing 3.2 kilometres of modern standard highway and a new bridge over Victoria Creek.

For more information about traffic conditions, contact the Transport Management Centre on 132 701, visit www.livetraffic.com or download the Live Traffic iPhone app.
