Better Homes and Gardens comes to town
ONE of Australia's longest running and most watched lifestyle shows is heading to town.
Better Homes and Garden will be shooting for their iconic show at various Jumpers and Jazz events tomorrow.
Popular presenters Tara Dennis and 'Fast' Ed Halmagyi will take in the sights, and want the people of Warwick to come along and join them.
Shooting will begin at the Art Gallery for the Jazz at the Gallery event and conclude for the day at the Killarney Bonfire evening.
Mrs Dennis has been a fixture of the show since 2006, and was already impressed with what Warwick had to offer.
"We haven't had a chance to view all of the tree jumpers yet, but the ones we've seen have been fantastic,” Mrs Dennis said.
"We're very excited to get out and see the rest.
"It gives off a sense of community and fun, and it's great to see people smiling and enjoying each other's company in these surrounds.
"It must give artists comfort when creating their work and pleasure when completed.”
Mrs Dennis and the crew were able to check out Jacqui Fink's extreme knitting workshop earlier today, and said she was delighted to meet her.
"I've wanted to meet Jacqui for years, as her work has a special place in my home,” she said.
"There is a light of hers in my lounge room, and it was great to interview her.
"Her work is incredible, and it was so much fun to try out the workshop.”
Mrs Dennis urged people to get outdoors and enjoy the wonderful sights of the Jumpers and Jazz Festival.
"Get out and about,” she said.
"Come and see how the show is shot, and a look at the behind the scenes action.
"We have a ball on set, and we plan on having a lot of fun around town.
"A part of the show is showcasing the best of what Australia has to offer, and we look forward to Warwick doing just that.
"We love to see people out and enjoying themselves, particularly with sun predicted on the weekend.
"There has been so much effort put into the festival, and people should get out and support these wonderful creations.”
