Best of the Heart of Gold films coming to Noosa BCC Cinemas

GYMPIE'S Heart of Gold International Short Film Festival is spreading its wings this year, hosting a special satellite event in Noosa.

In conjunction with the Noosa Film Society there will be a special, one-off satellite screening of nine short films at the Birch Carroll and Coyle Cinemas on Sunshine Beach Road, Noosa on Monday, September19, starting at 6.30pm.

Organisers say the screening is intended to distil the very essence of the annual short film festival into a night of the 'best of the best' of short films that were entered and judged in 2015.

Dubbed an 80-minute 'golden collection of shorts', nine short films will be shown to cinema goers before the main festival opens in early October.

On the night of the screening, patrons who buy a single session ticket for any regular screening at the Heart of Gold International Short Film Festival's event from October6-9, will receive a second single session ticket free.

Tickets for the Noosa event are $10 and on sale at the box office of BCC Noosa Cinemas or online at eventcinemas.com.au.

This will be an allocated seating event.

Films include German animation Dustin, Iranian drama The Fish and I, Aussie comedies Florence Has Left The Building, Bunny New Girl and Swinger's Party, as well as UK drama Honeysuckle.
