BEERS AND BEARDS: Countdown on to city festival
THE countdown to Toowoomba's Man Date Festival has begun.
It's the third annual celebration of all things both masculine and fashionable.
It was founded in 2016 by beard aficionado and owner of Beard Boutique Dan Graf.
With barbecues, breweries, barbers, beards, musicians and distilleries, the Man Date Festival brings something unique to town every year.
The first year it was hosted at the Mort Estate Hotel and then when the pub closed, it moved to the Mills Precinct.
"Moving to the Mills Precinct seemed like the most natural thing we could do," Mr Graf said.
"It has this old school vintage wool shed feel and had a good appeal."
For the men out there with a full face of hair there is a competition just for you.
The Beard and Stache competition is a chance for entrants to take home a share of more than $1000 in prizes and trophies.
The Man Date Festival will be held on Saturday, April 21 from 10am to 8pm.
While the event is aimed at blokes there is something for everyone.
Tickets are $15 for general admission and its $20 to enter the Beard and Stache competition, which also includes festival entry.
