WHEN it comes to bartending, Jordan Baker-Moller and Deon Moran are two of the best in the business.

So when the Rockhampton pair noticed a demand for private bartenders in Central Queensland, they jumped at the chance to start their own business and so, Baker-Moller-Moran Tailored Bar Services was born.

Mr Baker-Moller, who may have mixed you a drink behind the bar at The Heritage Hotel or The Edge in recent times, said the unique business was about taking parties to the next level.

"Essentially we are looking to bring the party to people's houses," Mr Baker-Moller said.

"We are trying to offer something to Rockhampton that is a little bit different and bring the party into your house, whether it is a hen's party, a birthday party, a wedding or basically anything that would need bartenders.

"Your only options at the moment are to hire a venue and go there or host it yourself and then grab a mate to do drinks or something.

"This way, we really take it from a party or gathering to an event; something really special."

With Baker-Moller-Moran Tailored Bar Services providing everything but the venue, the alcohol and the ingredients, Mr Baker-Moller said the hard work was taken care of.

"We have a list of menus with cocktails. We work out exactly what ingredients will be needed, send that through to the event organiser and they go and shop for the ingredients.

"At the moment our menus are quite classic; but there is an option for experimentation if it's desired.

"We'll show up at the venue with our own bar, glassware and equipment and mix drinks all night."

Mr Moran, who has worked in the bar industry as a bartender, manager and salesperson for the past seven years, was excited about the new venture.

"I started bartending at Rydges by the poolside and have worked at The Heritage, The Edge, the Ginger Mule and bars in Cairns," he said.

"I did this years ago and it's absolutely amazing to now share the workload."
