Toowoomba Range clear after 'good intent' truck fire call

UPDATE: The Toowoomba Range has cleared with no disruptions to traffic flows this morning.

Queensland Fire and Emergency Services responded to reports a B-double truck had caught fire on the up section of the Warrego Highway near the saddle about 7.40am.

On arrival to the area, QFES crews were unable to find the truck and the 000 report from a passing motorists is being considered as a "good intent" call.

EARLIER: Motorists heading up the Toowoomba Range should prepare for possible delays after a truck caught fire this morning.

Queensland Fire and Emergency Services crews are responding to reports of a B-double truck on fire just below the saddle on the Warrego Highway.

It is unknown at this stage what the truck is carrying.

Two QFES units are responding to the incident reported to authorities about 7.40am.

Motorists are being urged to take caution around the incident scene as emergency services arrive at the incident.
