NQ GROUP has announced a significant increase in its Ultra Heavy Haulage, Heavy Haulage and Crane capacity to better service and support customers with the acquisition of Nebo-based Company CQ Group Heavy Haulage and Cranes.
The acquisition, which took effect 5pm Monday January 12, will provide NQ Group with an established base in the Bowen Basin.
As part of the acquisition, NQ Group has retained the capability of CQ Group's key employees, equipment and customer service and added the Resources, Quality and Compliance framework of NQ Group to form a stronger more efficient business.
NQ Group Chief Operating Officer Brendan Webb said the acquisition of the Ultra heavy Haulage, Heavy Haulage and Crane divisions of the CQ Group was a natural progression and aligned with the company's growth strategy.
"The CQ business divisions acquired have great synergies with our existing NQ Group business, as we have similar employee skills, equipment mix, customers and practices," Mr Webb said.
NQ Group Director Matt Yapp said he was confident a combined NQ & CQ Group would continue to position the company as a high-quality industry leader for heavy haulage and cranes.
"This acquisition will allow us to maximise our end-to-end offering for the benefit of our valued customers," Mr Yapp said.
