ALL eyes will be on the Garden City next year with Toowoomba-based contestants set to feature in the Seven Network's hit cooking series My Kitchen Rules.

Toowoomba was abuzz with word spreading that filming for the ratings winner was taking place around town.

Social media and local radio were flooded with sightings of production crews shooting the sixth series of the program.

Filming for the series was reported to have occurred in Ruthven Street as well as at a Cotswold Hills address on Monday night.

The Seven Network and publicists for the program declined to provide any specific details, but did confirm production crews had been filming in Toowoomba.

The popular cooking program was renewed for another season earlier this year following the completion of its fifth season in April

Applications to star in the upcoming season closed in May with thousands of entries from across Australia received by the show's producers.
