Alan Mackey to launch new album

TOOWOOMBA singer/songwriter Alan Mackey, who enjoyed great success with his album Like Jacaranda, will launch his new CD, Pages of the Past, this Sunday at the Irish Club Hotel.

His new album was recorded by Doug Martin at his Mountain Tracks Studio in Toowoomba and contains 14 of Mr Mackey's new songs.

The album is already receiving extensive airplay and was previewed at the Tamworth Country Music Festival in January.

Mr Mackey will be promoting the CD widely after the Toowoomba launch.

Since moving to Toowoomba in 2005 Mr Mackey has run a music club in Toowoomba called Strummers which presents the best of Queensland's original acoustic music acts.
