WHILE waiting to pick up a wide load on the docks at Burnie, we were happy to catch up with Adrian Wheldon from Launceston, when he rolled in driving a Monson's 2007 Iveco Powerstar with a 550hp Iveco Cursor up front and a 16-speed auto box, and towing a tautliner with onions for the big island.
An old mate of Sean Hinds, we had previously met Adrian during his five-and-a-half years driving tippers for Boral.
He said after eight months with Monson's he was really enjoying the change from 25 years all up in tippers to general freight, and that he finds them a great crowd to work for. He likes the Powerstar as well.
He also joins us in extending our good wishes to Sean, and in particular to one very special lady, Susan, as she continues to improve from her terrible episode last December and months in hospital.
Home the other day to the delight of Sean and the children she is surely one powerful battler.
