Alleged speedster’s near-misses with trucks

A WOMAN nearly crashed into not one, but two trucks, as she drove dangerously at "considerable" speed in the middle of the night on the Sunshine Coast, police allege.

The 28-year-old is accused of nearly colliding with two trucks at high speed at Wurtulla, as she approached an intersection shortly after midnight.

Police will allege the woman also drove through two roadwork sites on Nicklin Way after speeding at Bokarina shortly beforehand.

Police said the car's headlights were not turned on.

A Buderim woman was arrested at a Little Mountain home in the early hours of the morning.

A police spokesman said the woman did not complete an alcohol breath test and has been charged with two counts of failing to provide specimen of breath for analysis as well as dangerous operation of a motor vehicle and obstructing police.

The woman will appear in Caloundra Magistrates Court on February 14.

Police are hoping to speak with any witnesses who saw the pale blue Hyundai ix35 wagon on the road overnight. Anyone with information should call Policelink on 131 444 or contacting Crime Stoppers by calling 1800 333 000 or via crimestoppersqld.com.au.
