AS THE final six seconds of the Queensland Basketball League clash between the Bundaberg Bulls and Ipswich Force counted down there was not one seat being used at WIN Stadium - every spectator was on their feet as the Bulls took the win 90-89.

Breland Hogan brought the crowd alive with shot to steal the lead only for the ball to be at Ipswich's scoring end with six seconds to go.

In the final-frantic moments James Legan missed the basket that would have won his team the game but missed, only for ex-Bulls player Zarryon Fereti to get the rebound and put another shot up, that went in with the buzzer going off in the background.

The three referees met in the middle of the court and waved the shot away to see Bundaberg win, and keep its season alive.

Bulls coach Darryn Roche praised the efforts of Kyle Kiernan, Breland Hogan and Willie Shackleford in the win and said there was only one thought in his mind as the numbers slowly drained from the clock.

"Please miss was pretty much all that was in my head. That call was one that went our way, which was good for a change," Roche said.

"It was a great win; Kyle Kiernan knocked down some shots, Breland Hogan stood up and Willie Shackleford bounced blokes around."

The Bears' lack of consistency bit them again with an 82-51 loss to the Force. Shooting at 28% from the field was nowhere near enough to topple the third-placed Ipswich team.

D'Lesha Lloyd was the Bears biggest contributor with 18 points and 10 rebounds with Kylie Giles and Kellie Page returning 12 points each.

Bundaberg travel to Gladstone Saturday and both coaches know a win will be the only result capable to keep their seasons alive.
