Tony Wallison

YOU wouldn't meet a happier truckie than Tony Wallison who is affectionately known around the road transport industry by his nickname of "Wally".

I saw the 46-year-old Wally at the BP Gold City Roadhouse near Charters Towers on January 22.

Wally drives a 2007 Western Star powered by a Detroit 530hp motor for Mackay Furniture Transport.

"I carry furniture around Queensland and this trip delivered some from Brisbane to the Harvey Norman Store in Townsville," he said.

A truckie for the past 21 years, Wally said the Western Star was very comfortable.

Wally has been with the company for three years and before that was a long-time employee of B & N Transport of Hendra.
