WADE Murphy

WADE Murphy usually does interstate runs for Yatala based Groovy Transport to Sydney and Melbourne.

When Big Rigs saw the 40-year-old Wade at the BP Cluden in north Queensland, he had hauled metal from Brisbane to Townsville.

"I am waiting for a backload. I've been a truckie for the past 16 years," he said.

Wade was driving 1998 model Kenworth and said he usually was behind the wheel of a Freightliner Colorado.

"The best roadhouse I like stopping at is the Suttons Forest south of Sydney," he said.

In his down time, Wade enjoys watching rugby league and is a supporter of the Wests Tigers.

Like many off duty truckies, one of his favourite pastimes is enjoying a cold amber fluid or three.
