Lance Corporal Arron Pratt

LANCE Corporal Arron Pratt, pictured left, is based at the giant Lavarack Army Barracks in Townsville and drives a Unimog truck.

Arron is with 11 Combat Service Support Battalion and was at the Former Origin Greats Indigenous Employment and Career Expo (FOGS) at the Townsville Entertainment and Convention Centre on July 25.

With him was Private Jason Gordon and they were there to give information to any of more than 1000 students who were at the expo seeking careers.

The Australian Defence Force was one of 52 employer exhibitors at the expo.

"The Unimog carries troops, stores and ammunition and is a very good truck,"Arron said.

Many of the students spoken to by Big Rigs said they were interested in jobs as truck drivers either at mines, the Defence Forces or in private enterprise.
