Gary Whitehouse

AS your correspondent was walking through the parking area at the BP Cluden Roadhouse, driver Gary Whitehouse asked was I from his favourite transport paper Big Rigs.

When I answered in the affirmative, the 59-year-old Gary produced a copy of the latest edition he had in the cabin of the Nissan Diesel CW445 he was in.

"I have often wanted to run into one of you guys somewhere but never thought I would," he said.

We were only too happy to snap the pic of Gary who works for Ezy Transport of Brisbane and his Nissan.

"I brought up industrial roller doors from Brisbane to Townsville and have some others to take back to Mackay," he said. "I have been a driver on and off for 20 years."

Gary enjoys fishing near his home on the Gold Coast when he gets time off.
