Maurice Ling

WE WERE fortunate to catch up with Maurice Ling from Smithton when he dropped in to Mood Food.

He was driving a 2007 Western Star Constellation with a 620 Cummins Signature up front for MK Haulage at the time and towing an empty drop deck float on his way from Hobart to Ross.

Maurice tells us he has been with the outfit for eight years now after doing 25 years on the big island, firstly with Ambassador and then 10 years with David Simon.

He is happy with the job and with the outfit and notes that though they aren't logging any more, he is more than happy working with Mark.

Maurice is mainly carrying containers and hay around the state and added that he has carried the nick name "Troopa" (on the bug deflector) since his footy days.
