Darren Harback

DARREN Harback from Launceston rolled in to Mood Food, the Caltex truckstop and roadhouse at Kempton, the other day to grab a quick bite to eat and a cuppa.

He was driving a Driver Safety Services 1994 Isuzu 900 Long rigid at the time and was on his way from Hobart to Launceston where it would be deployed training drivers.

Darren tells us he has been with them for 18 months and he is thoroughly enjoying the job and the actual training, where he is often pretty much his own boss, after previously running up and down the highway towing B-doubles for SRT.

He has notched up about 25 years on the road and said it is rewarding to be able to put his experience to a good use at last, and also to have the security of a good job in today's uncertain climate.
