Bevan Pentland

GOOD to catch up with Bevan Pentland from Flowery Gully (about five kilometres out of Beaconsfield) the other day when he dropped in to grab a quick bite to eat at Mood Food.

He was driving a Beams Brothers Transport 2009 R420+ Scania at the time and towing a lime tanker on his return from the Zinc Works at Lutana back to Flowery Gully where Beams Brothers have their quarry.

He told us the Scania was a nice truck.

"I love it, auto gear box, comfortable cab and plenty of power for when you need it.

"And they're a real good outfit to work for as well.

"I usually tow a tipper, but this is a good run too.

"And after 17 years with Beams Brothers this time around, you'd have to work out I'm happy there, and with only a three minute walk to work, what more could you ask?"
