Kerry Vangalen

WE ALSO caught up with Kerry Vangalen from Launceston at Mood Food the other day when he dropped in for a cuppa and a quick bite to eat on his way home after a day in Hobart.

Kerry was driving a new 2012 500 Hino 1728 Euro S rigid for Orbitas collections and was taking a load of batteries back to Launceston from Hobart at the time.

He tells me he has now been working as an agent for them for five months and that the job involves collecting batteries for recycling. He says it is a great job and he was well prepared for it having spent seven years previously working for Exide.

This has made him familiar with both the trade and the customer base which is a widely varying one.

A Holden man he had just returned from Bathurst well rewarded, and tells me he is a happy man all round at the moment. He says he loves the job, and loves being on the road.
