Ken Johnson

IT IS always a pleasure to catch up with Seaford-based Ken Johnson with his 380 Hp 2002 Daf towing his 40-foot boat trailer on his frequent trips to Tasmania.

And the other morning we caught up with him at Collinsvale, chatting with up-and-coming novelist Susan Broadby, who was gathering information for a new book she is writing.

Ken was on his way from Cygnet to Paynesville in Victoria at the time, via the Toll ferry at Burnie, and was enjoying a nice morning after the previous night's snow and cold.

He tells me he is keeping busy, which is good to hear at this time, and that he regards Tasmania as a second home nowadays. Also, our best wishes to Pam as she has recently adopted Geordie, a chocolate brown labrador, to keep her company when Ken is away.
