Coup for Kate Leahy as Canadian TV to broadcast to millions

MUSICIAN Kate Leahy will have one of her songs heard by millions, thanks to a Canadian TV show.

The show, The Listener, has picked up Kate's song, We Like, from her latest EP and will play it on an episode of the show next month.

"It will be broadcast all across Canada and the US and can be viewed online for Australians," Kate said.

"Past seasons have been broadcast to over 180 territories, so now I just have to sit back and wait to see how many countries my song will be broadcast to."

The Rockhampton singer was beyond excited when she received a text asking for her permission to use the song early one morning.

"It was pretty crazy because it was a text message apologising for waking me early in the morning, but it was asking me if the TV show in Canada could use my song," Kate said.

The show is broadcast in different languages around the world and could offer huge exposure.
