March 30-31: Haulin' the Hume

WHERE: Following the Old Hume Highway out of Sydney to Yass.

RELIVE some of the sounds, sights and smells of the pre-emissions era when trucking was making its mark building our amazing country. The run will start at the Camden Bicentennial Equestrian Park, head through Razorback, through the Hole in the Wall at Picton, then through the Cullerin Range, into Gunning and then Yass.

March 31: 32nd Penrith Working Truck Show

WHERE: Museum of Fire, 1 Museum Dr, Penrith, NSW.

BACK for its 32nd year, the Penrith Working Truck Show will have hundreds of vehicles on display, from huge B-doubles to custom trucks, plastered with chrome detailing and spectacular airbrushing, as well as the collection of fire engines of the museum.

May 3-5: National Diesel Dirt and Turf Expo

WHERE: Panthers Penrith Showgrounds, 123Mulgoa Rd, Penrith.

The expo brings the biggest range of earthmoving machinery, earthmoving attachments, trucks, trailers, bikes, utility vehicles, earthworks tools, agricultural machinery, mowing equipment and much more.

It's a family-friendly event designed for the earthmoving industry to update their knowledge of the latest equipment, technology and services.

May 18: Putty Road Truck Drivers Memorial Service and Reunion Dinner

WHERE: Garry Miller Memorial Park, Putty Rd, Milbrodale.

THE service starts at 9pm and the local school will have refreshments from 11am.

The dinner will be held at the Charbonnier Hotel (44 Maitland Rd, Singleton). Dinner is $60 and tickets must be purchased in advance.
