80 inductees set to be honoured at this year's Hall of Fame reunion

THIS year we will celebrate 21 years of the National Road Transport Hall of Fame and for the 16th year, Shell Rimula is again proud to be a partner supporting the Wall of Fame, acknowledging the achievements and lifetime commitment of the Australian road transport community.

Returning in 2016 from Thursday August 25 to Monday August 29, the annual National Road Transport Hall of Fame Reunion in Alice Springs will see about 80 individuals inducted into the coveted Shell Rimula Wall of Fame.

Liz Martin, National Road Transport Hall of Fame CEO said she was looking forward to welcoming new inductees this year and "celebrating their enduring commitment to road transport in Australia".

"Our longstanding partnership with Shell Rimula ensures we are able to acknowledge those who have dedicated their lives to the road and have kept Australia moving," she said.

Max Lane, Marketing Manager of Shell Lubricants, Viva Energy Australia Ltd said it was a "great honour for Shell Rimula to again partner with the National Road Transport Hall of Fame and publically recognise the wonderful Australians who have given so much of their lives to our community".

"Viva Energy Australia is committed to delivering innovative and reliable Shell product solutions, available through a wide range of outlets across Australia, and this dedication to the road transport industry is emulated in our ongoing support of the Shell Rimula Wall of Fame," he said.

"We are excited to acknowledge the achievements of this year's inductees and remain dedicated to commending the road transport industry's notable people and its heritage in Australia."

The Shell Rimula Wall of Fame is part of a four day event in Alice Springs, which includes the induction ceremony and the Shell Rimula Inductee Gala Dinner.

For over 100 years Shell, and now Viva Energy Australia (Shell Licensee), has shown ongoing support to the longevity of the road transport community in Australia, delivering innovative, reliable fuel, Shell card and lubricant solutions to road transport operators.
