AS WE roll through spring and head into summer, it's certainly getting drier all over our country but there are still lots of great truckin' events happening. Check them out and if you can, get along and support our great industry and the various very worthy causes it, in turn, supports.

September 29-30: 2018 Lights on the Hill Memorial Convoy Weekend

Where: Gatton Showgrounds

IT'S the Queen's Birthday Long Weekend for Queensland.

The Convoy will run from two starting points on the Saturday while the Memorial service will be held on the Sunday.

September 29-30: Pacin' the Pacific

Where: Tomago to the Wauchope Showgrounds

THE road run is being organised by the Wauchope Yesteryear Truck and Machinery Club.

It will start from the WesTrac facility at Tomago and run along northbound sections of the old Pacific Highway and finish at the Wauchope Showgrounds.

October 21: Convoy for Kids, Sydney

Where: From Huntingwood along the M4 to the Sydney Olympic Park

IT'S the convoy's 27th year and even though it only happens once a year, it's a great day out.

Where: From Forest Lake to the Redcliffe Showgrounds

THERE is a whole day of family fun and entertainment planned to raise funds for a very worthy cause.

November 3-4: Historic Truck and Tractor Show 2018

Where: Gatton Showgrounds

HOSTED by the Historic Commercial Vehicle Association of Queensland, the two-day event will feature vintage and classic trucks, show trucks, buses, tractors, stationary engines, trade stands, grand parades and great catering.

November 10: Mullumbimby Truck Show

WHERE: Mullumbimby Showgrounds

THE show is being held in conjuction with the Mullumbimby Agricultural Show.

The participants will need to register at Mann's Rd Mullumbimby by 10am and the parade will commence at 11am travelling through Mullumbimby to the showgrounds.

The trucks will then be judged and trophies awarded. There will also be an auction being held at with proceeds going to local charities. There will also be all the usual events associated with a country show including trotting, cattle judging, show jumping events, pavillions and of course, sideshow alley.
