THE children are off school and the sun is finally shining, so there's no better time to get down to your local park.

If you're looking to try a new playground but don't know where to start, the Daily's Facebook followers have shared their top spots on the Sunshine Coast.

There are plenty of great parks on the Coast, and as Stephanie Street said, "the (biggest) problem is deciding which park to go to”.

Here are some of the Daily readers' favourites:

Grahame Stewart Park, Currimundi

Skye Niehus loves that the park "is fully fenced, has a cycle area, train and special needs swing, along with a newly built twin flying fox”.

"It's amazing and council have done a wonderful job.”

Skippy Park, Landsborough

Skippy Park, on Old Landsborough Rd is one of two in the hinterland town that scored a mention.

"(It) has a huge slide, flying fox, swings, a walking/running/bike track and other small toys,” Sonya Beaumont said.

Pioneer Park, Landsborough

One great perk of this park is the fence all the way around.

"(It) has heaps of undercover seating area, swings, monkey bars, play fort, flying fox etc,” Sonya Beaumont said.

"Both my kiddies have disabilities and one tends to wander off or run off so we love both (Skippy and Pioneer) parks.

"They both have their perks. My son loves Skippy Park to ride his bike, but I love Pioneer because it means he can't run off too quickly on us.”
