In light of the current COVID-19 pandemic and its associated restrictions, the Casino Truck Show has announced the launch of the inaugural North Coast Petroleum Casino International Virtual Expo and Truck Show 2020. The first event of its kind, the virtual expo and truck show provides the transport industry with a platform to engage with their community.

“We cancelled the Casino Truck Show due to COVID-19 which disappointed all our loyal truckies, their families and the Richmond Valley community. However, Darren ‘Goodo’ Goodwin and the Casino Beef Week committee for the last month have been working on how we could bring some joy back into the community. Goodo came to me with the virtual expo and truck show, and we ran with it,” explains Frank McKey, President of Casino Beef Week.

Through the virtual event, those in the industry will have the opportunity to partner, exhibit, promote and connect with their community.

North Coast Petroleum has been the event’s naming partner since 2016. Now this loyalty continues as the event enters into a new virtual era, with North Coast Petroleum also offering its support of the Casino International Virtual Expo and Truck Show 2020.

This impressive Kenworth from Ballinger Transport was named Rig of the Show 2019.

Tipped to be the best part of the virtual event are the hotly contested truck competitions, with two contests set to take place – the Australian Truck Show Competition and the International Truck Show Competition. As usual, there will be a ‘Rig Of The Show’, a top five judged as elite and winners of each category. Some classes will also have prizes and trophies. The big question is, which truck will be named the coveted Rig Of The Show?

The North Coast Petroleum Casino International Virtual Expo and Truck Show 2020 was due to be held from 3-10 October 2020, but has now been postponed. The organising committee will soon announce new dates.

Those wishing to attend can do so via the event website or through the downloadable app. Truck show competition entries opened on 1 September 2020, with tickets on sale from mid-September.
