Robert Wade

WE were down on the docks at Plastic Fabrications in Prince of Wales Bay the other day when we ran into our old mate Robert Wade from Nubeena in his 2000 460 Hp FH-12 Volvo. He was towing his tri-axle flat deck Krueger tautliner and was on his way home to Nubeena after a long hard day in the city with general freight to and from the Tasman Peninsula. Robert tells us he has been in the business now for 35 years and driving for the last 26, and he still enjoys the job, though economically it just keeps on getting more competitive. He also tells us that he loves getting back into the very comfortable old Volvo for a change!
