A SEVENTY-year commitment to the road transport industry has continued with one of Australia's leading Kenworth and DAF dealers, the Brown and Hurley Group, launching its new Caboolture dealership.
Strategically located to service trucking routes north of Brisbane, the Caboolture dealership adds another link in the chain of Brown and Hurley's nine world-class dealerships stretching from Townsville to Tamworth.
The 2.7-hectare greenfield site at 16 Motorway Drive Burpengary - the main highway running from Brisbane and the southern states to both central and northern Queensland - offers excellent visibility and access.
The design mirrors and builds on Brown and Hurley's investment in the Yatala, Townsville and Toowoomba dealerships made in recent years.
The industry is assured of a complete range of services including new and pre-owned truck sales, new and used trailers, finance, parts, and service support.
Fleets, business owners and owner operators alike can take advantage of 32 drive through service bays, four full length service pits - one equipped with a brake tester / shaker - for a rapid turnaround on transport servicing needs.
Drivers are provided with fully equipped, comfortable lounge facilities complete with all amenities, including Wi-Fi.
"We've always had a strategy to have a position on the three main roads running into Brisbane - from the Gold Coast, from the west and from the north," he said.
"South East Queensland is rapidly expanding in those directions and while we have the Darra and Yatala dealerships, we didn't have a presence on the north side.
"It took us a while to find a suitable site with highway access and the right attributes, but we are very happy with this location as our base to service this important region."
Mr Brown said the investment represented the company's commitment to service.
"Expanding an existing dealership would be simpler, but would not provide service where it is needed.
"One of our philosophies in business is to be where our customers are - that's what will help our customers and will better service their needs."
Not only will the Caboolture location prove attractive, but the company has also ensured staff performance and technical competency is world class.
"Customers are now expecting more from their suppliers because of the technology involved in the industry, whether it be electronic engine management or emissions control systems, and Brown and Hurley has invested in the facilities, staffing and technical training to satisfy those requirements," continued Rob.
"I am still excited by these sorts of development projects - it is a great thing - Caboolture is our biggest dealership and we have built it, and invested appropriately, for what we think the industry will look like five and ten years down the track," he said.
"And that is based on a lot of industry experience and feedback from customers."

Darryl brings lengthy industry experience, having served in other senior management positions in the road transport industry. He will oversee an experienced sales, parts and service team with specialised knowledge in Kenworth and DAF trucks and Cummins engines.
On-site service is supported with provision of a 24 hour, seven day a week breakdown service with a fully equipped field unit readied for rapid dispatch.
Parts customers can rely on a 1500sqm parts store strategically stocked with fast moving consumables and major components alike, including Cummins engines and transmissions.
