Kerry Cooper

PASSING through Epping Forest the other day we were happy to catch up with Kerry Cooper, from Burnie, when he rolled in to the Caltex Truckstop driving a DeBruyn's T-404 SAR.

With a 500 Cummins up front he was towing a box back to Burnie from Cambridge.

Kerry tells us he has been with DeBruyn's for 16 years and he reckons they are a great outfit to work for.

"Still privately owned, they have been among the few to retain the 'family touch'," he said. "And spending 16 years in the same job says it all I think!"

Kerry has spent a total of 25 years on the road, including some time as an owner driver, and he tells us he spends his time off doing domestic chores and spending quality time with the family, who he says always come number one!
