Johnny Kemp

WE WERE having a cuppa and a bite to eat at the Caltex at Epping Forest the other day when our old mate Johnny Kemp from Geilston Bay rolled in.

He had dropped into the Epping Forest truckstop for his quick customary cuppa "to go" and was driving his accustomed 2010 SeaRoad T-408 with a 620 Cummins up front.

Towing a B-double, he was on his way north from Hobart with a couple of boxes, to catch the Spirit of Tasmania at Devonport.

John tells us he has been with SeaRoad for about four years and he loves the job and the truck, especially the blue on the mud guards.

He is working on the white stripes at the moment, to make the colour scheme even better, and also passes on his congratulations to our old mate Howie from Launceston on being a "poppie" with the recent birth of his grandchild.
