IF YOU really want to get your motor running, you should head down to Queensland Diesel Spares in Rocklea for its open day at the end of the month.
This end-of-financial-year sale will be one to remember. Not only can you score a bargain, you can also meet V8 Supercar driver Will Davison.
After you've got a few posters signed and talked racing with the great, you can check out the promo girls and freebies on offer.
Still not convinced? There will be a jumping castle for the kids and slot cars, but for all the Transformers fans out there one special drawcard will be there on the day - Optimus Prime himself.
Okay, not the real Optimus Prime, but a replica owned by Watego and Sons Transport will be on display.
Get your photo taken with Optimus and then let the wheeling and dealing begin.
Well, that's what branch manager Craig Cusack wants you to do during the June 30 sale.
"We'll have selected products running out for a steal, but come in and ask us for a deal," he said.
"We wanted to show customers what we do and who we are.
"Times are tough for everyone and this is one day that is not about making money. It's about giving the best one-off deals we can."
These specials are not just for trucks, even though there is a wide range of brands and products stocked for the big rigs, cars, 4WDs and other passenger vehicles are also catered for at the store.
There will be trucks parked along the front of the Ipswich Rd building and 30 show cars on display around the side, as well as pallets of products at ridiculous prices.
On hand will be suppliers and reps to give technical advice on products.
"It's a really exciting atmosphere," Cusack said, remembering last year's event.
"It's an experience. You get to meet famous people."
Cusack, who has been managing the branch for three years, said he expected some great deals to be done on SP tools.
"Come in and barter a great discount on a tool box," he said.
Cusack has a cleaning kit for just $22.
