CATCHING UP: Former W&M; Meat Transport drivers Noel Hollis and Stewart Walker want to get as many of the company’s previous drivers to attend an upcoming reunion as possible.

A REUNION for past W&M Meat Transport workers will be held this weekend.

Stuart Walker and Noel Hollis are two of the past workers who are looking to reunite with old friends.

Mr Walker said the reunion would be a relaxed atmosphere with a barbecue and a chance to catch up on the good old times.

Back in the day the W&M (which stands for Wynnum and Manly) drivers would transport hanging meat all over the country.

From Melbourne to Perth and everywhere in between, the drivers would stay in touch using long-range radios and often became good friends.

Neville Ogborn started the business about 65 years ago with his brothers and hopes to attend the reunion this year.

This will be the fourth reunion.

The event continues to grow each year - there were hundreds of staff over the years.

The reunion will be held on November 22 at the Acacia Ridge Hotel at noon.

For more information contact Mr Walker on 0428 871 048 or Mr Hollis on 0422 027 347.
