AUSTRALIAN travellers will get a taste of cruising royalty when two of the world's mega liners dock at Station Pier, Melbourne in early 2012.

The majestic cruise ships, Cunard's Queen Elizabeth and Queen Mary 2 will arrive within a week of each other on February 26 and March 5 respectively.

More than three and a half times as long as Big Ben in London,  Cunard's flagship Queen Mary 2 caters for 2592 passengers and 1253 crew and weighs 151, 000 tonnes.

With four swimming pools, a planetarium, a casino and a variety of restaurants and cafes, this ship has a range of entertainment to suit all ages.

Cunard's newest ship, the Queen Elizabeth, is equally impressive. The ship features an art gallery, ballroom, Royal Arcade shopping centre, library and tennis court.

Cruiseabout is celebrating the ships' arrivals with some brand new deals from Cunard. With only a limited time to experience these luxury liners, travellers are urged to get in quickly.
